DONYX has announced the wRS, a compact industrial wired router planned for fibre-connected sites, secure branch networks and cost-effective VPN deployments.

Planned wired connectivity

The wRS specification combines four Gigabit Ethernet ports with a 1.25 Gbps SFP port. Passive PoE-in and PoE-out are planned to simplify installation where mains sockets are not readily available.

A dual-core 880 MHz MIPS processor, 256 MB of RAM and 32 MB of flash storage are intended to support dependable routing and hardware-assisted VPN tunnels.

Deployment scope

The planned model is intended for branch offices, retail networks, building management, remote monitoring and modernisation of legacy wired infrastructure.

wRS is an announced product and is not currently available. DONYX plans to release the model in the first quarter of 2027. Final specifications may change before release.
